The Minguet Quartett spans a broad spectrum of eras from the founder of Viennese Classicism to a significant protagonist of 20th century avant-garde: György Ligeti would have celebrated his 100th birthday this year. Schönberg is ever-present throughout this recital: Joseph Haydn was among his role models from the past, whereas works by Gustav Mahler determined his present-day world. Norbert von Hannenheim studied with Schönberg in Berlin and died in 1945 in a psychiatric hospital. His œuvre is slowly being rediscovered and displays its own expression while following in the footsteps of his teacher.

The concert will be streamed live on facebook and YouTube and will be available seven days after the concert.
